Benefits

Emancipet’s benefits package is designed to maximize health, balance, and well-being for all of our employees and their entire families. Here is an overview of our benefits:

  • Emancipet covers 100% of the cost of health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance for all employees and all their dependent children.
  • We are pleased to provide health insurance through Curative with NO deductibles, NO copays and NO coinsurance when covered employees and their covered children visit a doctor, emergency room, hospital, therapist, or pharmacy in their network. The network is one of the largest in the country.
  • Employees also have the option to “buy up” to a plan that also provides additional coverage for out-of-network providers.
  • Emancipet also provides all employees and their entire families, regardless of whether they are insured, with free, 24/7 telehealth services that includes urgent care, access to zero cost prescriptions, behavioral health and counseling, and health advocacy resources for things like receiving a second opinion on a diagnosis or negotiating medical billing.
  • All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Emancipet’s 401(k) retirement plan through Human Interest. Emancipet matches up to 2.5% when employees save 5% for retirement.
  • Emancipet wants employees to take and enjoy time off to renew and recharge. Emancipet observes nine paid holidays each year:
    New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
  • Emancipet employees receive between 60 and 200 hours of Paid Time Off, which increases with tenure and varies by position type. All PTO balances are fully loaded on hire, and renewed in full at the start of each year, rather than accruing slowly over time, so new employees don’t have to wait to take time off and can plan their time away when it’s best for them.
  • For employees planning a family, Emancipet provides 40 hours of paid family leave to help extend paid time off when the new baby arrives.
  • Veterinarians receive $2,000 to cover the cost of CE, licensing, and other professional fees.

Supporting Your Financial Wellbeing

Have you heard of Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSFL)? If you are employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization (like Emancipet!), you might be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.

We are happy to work with all applicants to understand their eligibility in the PSLF Program.
