Save the Free Days

The City of Austin has proposed two budget reductions that threaten to reverse the progress Austin has made in the last few years in saving animal lives and reducing homelessness.  We need your help to oppose both of these potentially devastating budget cuts. The budget cuts impact Emancipet’s free sterilization program, which provides two days of free spay/neuter and vaccinations each week in low-income, high-intake zip codes in Austin.  The program provides about 4,000 sterilizations each year, and is proven to reduce the intake of homeless animals at the Town Lake Animal Center.
